I used to wonder why Americans hated their government's until I lived and worked there. It was simple, the government's did things to you, not for you. Well it's come to Canada with the neoliberalism agenda; government's and I won't say our government's do things to you, not for you. All, I repeat All our institutions have failed or work against the working classes of the country. All large government and private sector industrial corporation's have been sold off other than the utilities in some provinces. The indoctrination and disinformation is at historical highs. Unfortunately the bread and circuses seems to work but with us heading for recession and Europe for depression and social action's in the streets we like in interesting time's. The narrative du jour can only last so long.
Americans are savvier, less naive and weary-eyed than we are. They're a country born in revolution and are the mightiest of all empires. With it came extreme patriotism and jaded cynicism constantly formed a friction point in its existence. It's fascinating.
