The following is a direct quote for from Canada’s proposed Online Harms Act BillC63.

“Potential lifetime (25 yrs) IMPRISONMENT for online hate crimes aka speech. I hope the NGOs that helped push ridiculous hate speech laws are happy with the monster they created.”

Section Read 810.012. of the Online Harms Act:

“A person may, with the Attorney General’s consent, lay an information before a provincial court judge if the person fears on reasonable grounds that another person will commit an offence …”
